Staples in The Pantry -- Food Allergies Part 2

Mrs. A. Food Allergies

Most people have some of the same staples in their pantry or kitchen as others do, right? Sugar, Flour, Eggs, Milk…and the list goes on.  That’s not necessarily so if you have food allergies.  I feel sure that my cabinets and fridge are filled with items quite different than yours.  Today’s post will highlight some great food choice alternatives (for me, at least) and the wonderful companies that strive to provide safe foods.

Here are some of my food staples!!

Food Allergy Pantry Staples

Gerbs Pumpkin Kernels (Seeds)

Gerbs Sunflower Kernels (Seeds)

Organic Rice Dream Rice Drink (Original Enriched)

Sunbutter (Sunflower Sunbutter – Natural)

Edward & Sons Organic Brown Rice Snaps (Unsalted Plain)

Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips

Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mega Chunks

These are all products in my pantry, because they are all allergy-safe products for me to eat.  Now, I realize everyone’s allergies are different so while these particular products may not work for you, I do want to introduce you to these wonderful companies.

As I said in my previous post “Food Allergies – 10 Things To Know”, life doesn’t end with a diagnosis of Food Allergies.  It only changes.  Concentrate on what you CAN eat and not on what you CAN’T eat.  Check out these great companies and see if their products will work for you.

Now for the Disclaimer:  I am not a trained medical professional, a trained dietitian or even a self-proclaimed Know-It-All about food allergies.  So please do not take my posts about food allergies as medical advice.  These are my own personal experiences and findings.  Always check with your doctor first!!

I may have to try those pumpkin seeds. I’m diabetic and nuts are my shack of choice. Pumpkin seed are a great alternative.

I can’t imagine the hours, days, months you must have spent finding items that are allergy safe for you. I have to admire your hard work.

Wanda — The Gerbs Pumpkin Seeds are really tasty! I purchase mine off of Amazon.

Laura — Thanks! It can be a challenge. I’m just really thankful for companies like these that have recognized a need and found a way to make a product that is safe for most.
