A few years back I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils. I did not dive head first into the world of essential oils, and I am not a re-seller. However, I do have my favorites that are must-haves in my cabinet.
Lavender Oil — In my opinion, this is just a good oil to have around. It’s a Neat Oil meaning it doesn’t have to be diluted. I have applied it to insect bites, used it with water in a squirt bottle as insect repellent, and even put it on my dog’s itchy skin.
Lemon Oil — This oil does a really good job of drying up extra drainage when I’m congested. I like to mix up Hot Peach Tea (Stash brand) with a little maple syrup and 3 drops of Young Living Lemon Essential Oil. Stir and sip slowly. Yum!!
Peppermint Oil — This one is great for tummy problems. I put a couple of drops in a tablespoon of maple syrup. Peppermint Oil is a Hot Oil so I take the tip of another spoon and kind of blend the maple syrup and peppermint oil together before I put it in my mouth.
These are my three favorite Young Living Essential Oils!!

I enjoyed reading about the oils! Lavender oil was recommended to me a few years back to soothe affected skin after radiation treatments. I must admit that I was not brave enough to try it.

I understand the hesitation, Sharon. I have very sensitive skin and a lot of allergies so I usually proceed with an abundance of caution. Having said that, I used Lavender Oil on my hand when I burned it. It was very beneficial to me in the healing process.
Of course, remember I don’t have any medical training! What works for one person may not be helpful to another. Thanks for your comment.

I have used essential oils for thirty years, Lavender is my favorite. You can almost find my diffuser working almost every day. Today I heard from someone to take a few drops of peppermint and run it into your scalp. I might try it.
