Thought Provoking Quote

Mrs. A. Thoughts in Passing

Have you ever read an article, a quote, or heard someone say something that just stuck with you.  Something you pondered on for days.  Something that was so simple, yet so thought provoking.  Well, such was the case for me today.  I was reading an article that listed some quotes made by famous women and found this one to be very thought provoking.  This quote is from Nancy Reagan so I want to be sure to say this post is not intended to be any type of political debate.  It is merely a quote made by a famous woman.

“You learn something out of everything, and you come to realize more than ever that we’re all here for a certain space of time, and, and then it’s going to be over, and you better make this count.”  — Nancy Reagan

Simple, yet true.

That’s a wise quote – thank you for sharing, Mrs. A!
I believe everyday is important – and we need to make our days (everyday) “count” for something.

That is a great, thought provoking quote. Sometimes I feel guilty for wasting time. Like playing solitaire or something. As I get older, I feel I should be making every single moment count. Maybe I shouldn’t be goofing off on the internet. Maybe I shouldn’t work so much. Maybe I shouldn’t play so much. Maybe I should get out more. I definitely should make more time for family and friends. It’s hard to know just which things make those moments count, isn’t it? I do know that in the end, we’ll regret the things we didn’t do more than things we did.

Thanks, Wanda. I think “regret” is a key word. Sometimes I have to ask myself “Will I regret that I didn’t spend more time doing this?” or “Will I regret that I didn’t put ‘this’ down and spend more time doing that?” I think the answer is different for each of us.
