About Us

Mrs. A. - 2aEmporium

I'm Mrs. A, the owner of 2aEmporium. Our shop isn't one dimensional, but rather (like our lives) is a delightful, multifaceted variety of collections!

Just as our shop collections are diverse, so are our contributors.  We span three generations, and we are passionate about what we do. Our goal is your complete satisfaction!!

We are located in Oklahoma and ship to customers not only in the U.S., but internationally as well.

Our Vintage, Vintage-Made and Nearly Vintage Collection—

I grew up hearing stories about living during The Great Depression and listening to the music of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. My dad collected many vintage and antique items through the years. Some of them were pieces woven into our family history, and I enjoyed hearing the family stories behind them. Those items are not for sale, but the stories were both enlightening and entertaining, and they helped cultivate the love and appreciation I have for the history behind each vintage piece that you'll find in my shop.

My mother and both of my grandmothers were accomplished seamstresses. I think they were repurposing and up-cycling in their day more out of necessity than a choice of style. Many of the vintage fabrics that are being used for our pillow covers have come from the abundant fabric supply I inherited from them. We carry on the family tradition of skillfully hand-crafting items with love. When you purchase one of these items, know that you are purchasing a special piece that has its own story, and that much thought and time has been given to the crafting of the piece.

I'm excited to pass along these handmade items and vintage pieces of history to you!

Our AllergyFree4Me Collection—

My journey with allergies began in 1985. At that time, I was mostly affected by environmental and seasonal allergies. In 2014, I found out that my allergy history would include a large number of food allergies. While I don't let food allergies define me, I definitely take them very seriously.   I think if I could accomplish anything through our AllergyFree4Me collection and blog, it would be to not only offer a supportive role for the allergy community, but to educate both those with and without allergies.  I should say that I am not a medical professional nor do I have any special training.  What I do have is life experience in living with allergies and asthma.  Make AllergyFree4Me one of your regular blog stops and look for our products to be featured soon.  We will donate 10% of each purchase to F.A.R.E. for Food Allergy Research and Education.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional of any kind nor am I a dietitian. Absolutely nothing I share on a blog post should take the place of your physician. I am only sharing from my own personal experiences with allergies and would always recommend that you follow your own doctor's orders. If I post about a specific food or brand of food as safe for me, please remember to re-check the food labels to be sure that it is safe for you and meets your specific dietary requirements. Always keep in mind that ingredients and manufacturing processes can change from the time a post is published.

Our 2aClassroom Collection—

I am a former home educator and current educational tutor.

My children attended public school and private Christian school before we began our adventure in home education.  Upon graduating high school, each child scored high on the ACT test and received letters of acceptance to all three universities for which they applied.  One child is certified in the IT field and works at the second largest employer in our city.  He is also an entrepreneur successfully operating a second business on the side.  The other child chose to be a wife and stay-at-home mom.  She is now busy home educating her own children.  I loved every minute of teaching my children and consider them to be very successful in their chosen professions.

I love to learn!  I set the academic standards high for my own children and desired to instill in them a love for learning.  Each child learns differently so sometimes styles of teaching must be individually adapted.  Through 2aClassroom, I hope to provide lessons and activities using a variety of learning styles.  It would also be my desire to help you instill a love for learning in your student.

Other contributors to 2aClassroom are Mr. A., Mr. B., and Mrs. B.  Combined we provide diverse academic degrees and skills sets as well as experience teaching every grade from Pre-K through High School and undergraduate classes.  I hope you find the 2aClassroom collection to be helpful.
